ABOUT KIWANIS INTERNATIONAL
Our HistoryFounded in 1915 in Detroit, Michigan, Kiwanis International now comprises 600,000 members - men, women, boys and girls - worldwideKiwanis is looking out for kids in every corner of the globe with more than 600,000 volunteers who serve their communities through local clubs. Local clubs look out for our communities and the international organization takes on large-scale challenges, such as fighting disease and poverty. Through these efforts, Kiwanis International truly is “Serving the Children of the World.”
Kiwanis also plays a special role in developing future generations of leaders. K-Kids clubs at the elementary school level, Builders Clubs in middle school and junior highs, Key Clubs in high schools, and Circle K clubs at the collegiate level all are Kiwanis organizations that teach community service and leadership skills to young people. In addition, Aktion Clubs are made up of adults with mental and physical disabilities who enthusiastically perform service to help others. |

ABOUT SOUTHEAST VOLUSIA KIWANIS
Helping kids grow and succeed is at the heart of everything we do. Our club raises tens of thousands of dollars each year through special events. We focus our efforts and contributions to the children here in SE Volusia county. Check out our “Foundation” page to see a list of the wide variety of ways we seek to help our children.
But how we do it is just as important as what we do. We believe our neighborhoods and our world are best served when people of all ages and different backgrounds work together to share their time and talents.
The SouthEast Volusia Kiwanis Club was chartered in 1926. Our SE Volusia community includes New Smyrna Beach, Edgewater and Oak Hill, but members from anywhere are welcome and encouraged to join. Our members represent a cross section of the community. We also welcome Kiwanians from out of the area to join us in fellowship if you happen to be visiting our little beach paradise. Join us and experience the fun, teamwork and personal satisfaction in helping others.
Our club meets Wednesdays at noon (except holidays) at Hidden Lakes Golf Club. Our weekly luncheon meetings give us an opportunity for fellowship, event planning when necessary, and we typically invite a local speaker inform us of what is happening in the world around us.
Contact us at (386) 243-4476 to learn more. Your first lunch visit is “on us”!
You don’t need to call in advance, but you are welcome to do so. Please arrive a few minutes before Noon so we can greet you, meet you and seat you. We start off each meeting with a song “My Country Tis Of Thee” (don’t worry if you can’t sing or remember the words, but you probably will), then we proudly recite the Pledge of Allegiance, and a non-denominational prayer followed by fellowship, a speaker, and a nice meal. We are non-political and non-denominational, but we are patriotic!
